GUY DOENYASAWARD-WINNING CINEMATOGRAPHER
/ AI BUILDER / TECH GEEK

I’m Guy Doenyas — an award-winning cinematographer, filmmaker, AI builder and lifelong tech geek. I work at the intersection of film, software, AI and connected spaces. From 8mm, 16mm and 35mm cinematography and anamorphic lenses to AI agents, automation, smart homes and self-hosted systems — I like understanding how things work, then building with them.

01 / FILM

Cinematography & film.

Film is where all of this started. My work spans cinematography, production, color, post and image-making — with a particular love for 8mm, 16mm and 35mm motion-picture film, Kodak stock, texture, imperfect optics and anamorphic glass.

Mon Amour

Mon Amour is an award-winning film created by Guy Doenyas. It received Best Cinematography at the Sweden Film Awards in 2020, was presented as an Official Winner at the Sweden Film Awards in 2020, and was an Official Selection of the Rome Independent Prisma Awards in 2020. Dedicated for you, my love.

From set to post

My film work has crossed cinematography, producing, camera, color, after/VFX and technical post-production. I care about the entire image pipeline, not only the camera body.

Analog on purpose

Film slows the process down in the right way. Meter it, commit to it, wait for it, then discover what the stock and glass gave back.

02 / SOFTWARE + AI

Software / AI.

This is the other half of how I think. I like building systems that remove repetitive work, connect tools that normally do not talk to each other, and turn messy real-world processes into something useful and repeatable.

UGC / GENERATIVE AI

Flowrist AI

Researches UGC creators’ content, copy and style, then generates text-only video scripts designed to preserve the creator’s own voice instead of flattening everyone into the same AI tone.

INPUT creator content → research → voice/style model → script generation → human-ready output
VOICE / REAL-WORLD AUTOMATION

Hotel voice agent

An AI voice workflow that calls hotels near venues to verify room availability, rates and room details, then captures the answers as structured data for the travel workflow.

CALL hotels → converse → verify availability/rates → structure results → handoff
DOCUMENT INTELLIGENCE

Document automation

Extraction and normalization pipelines that turn legal and medical documents into structured case data, including identifying and normalizing medical codes for downstream processing.

DOCS ingest → extract → normalize → validate → human review / case workflow
MEDIA / CONTENT PIPELINE

Automated video pipeline

A human-in-the-loop content system that proposes topics, waits for approval, generates imagery and captions, assembles the edit and prepares content for publishing.

FLOW topic → approval → AI imagery/captions → automated edit → publish
03 / SMART HOME

Smart home.

The house is another computer. Home Assistant is the center: local control, useful automations and making devices cooperate even when their manufacturers never intended them to.

CORE

Home Assistant

Local automations, helpers, dashboards, scenes, light groups, media controls and custom device behavior.

RADIOS

Zigbee + Wi-Fi + IR/RF

Zigbee mesh devices, Tuya/LocalTuya hardware, learned IR commands and bridging old-school remotes into modern automations.

MEDIA

TV / Roku / Google TV

Custom controls, projector power, receiver troubleshooting, media dashboards and experiments around whole-home playback.

LIGHT

Lighting

Grouped fixtures, color temperature, fades, scenes and treating light as both a home system and a cinematography problem.

NETWORK

Networking

Mesh Wi-Fi, backhaul, device isolation, IoT troubleshooting, syslogs and the constant hunt for why one tiny device refuses to connect.

DIY

ESP32 / experiments

Embedded devices, Bluetooth/audio experiments, sensors and small purpose-built pieces that fill gaps commercial products leave behind.

04 / LAB + GEEK

The lab.

If I can host it, automate it, connect it or take it apart, I probably will. A Linux box, containers, local services, remote access and enough logs to turn a simple weekend idea into an infrastructure project.

Ubuntu + Docker

Home Assistant, n8n, monitoring, remote access and self-hosted tools running as containerized services.

UbuntuDockern8nTwingate

Agents + interfaces

Local and hosted AI agents connected to real tools, messaging surfaces and workflows — with a bias toward systems that can actually take action.

05 / ABOUT

One person.
Several worlds.

I don’t really separate the creative and the technical. Film taught me to care about image, light and process; software taught me to turn systems into tools. I’ve moved between cinematography, production, post, 3D, software, AI and connected-home technology — the common thread is curiosity, building and making things work better.
