AWARD-WINNING CINEMATOGRAPHER
/ AI BUILDER / TECHNOLOGIST
I’m Guy Doenyas. I work where film, software, AI and connected systems overlap. I started in software, moved deeply into cinematography, production and post, and eventually brought those worlds back together by building tools and systems for creative and real-world workflows.

One person.
Several worlds.
The common thread has always been curiosity: understand the system, understand the image, then make the process better.
Software came first.
I co-founded a software company in 2014. That taught me to think in systems: inputs, outputs, failure points, interfaces and the small details that determine whether a tool is actually useful.
Then the camera took over.
I moved deeper into production and co-founded a production company in 2016. My work expanded across cinematography, camera, producing, color correction, post-production, VFX and the technical infrastructure behind the work. I became as interested in the entire image pipeline as I was in the image itself.
The two sides eventually became the same thing.
Working in post and documentary workflows pushed me back toward software. I built tools to solve problems I was seeing firsthand — including a Docker-based speech-to-text system that made large interview archives searchable for editors. Today that same instinct shows up in AI agents, workflow automation, voice systems, document processing and connected-home technology.
Film is still the foundation.
I care about image, texture, optics and process — especially motion-picture film and the discipline that comes with committing to an image before seeing it on a screen.
Award-winning cinematography
Mon Amour, which I created, received Best Cinematography at the Sweden Film Awards in 2020. It was also presented as an Official Winner at the Sweden Film Awards and selected by the Rome Independent Prisma Awards.
8mm · 16mm · 35mm
Kodak film, #ShotOnFilm, anamorphic lenses, imperfect optics, color and post. I like tools that leave fingerprints on the image instead of disappearing completely.
How I got here.
Software company
Co-founded a software company and started thinking seriously about systems, products and automation.
Production company
Co-founded a production company and worked across cinematography, producing, camera, post, color and technical production infrastructure.
Creative work became technical work
Production and post created real workflow problems worth solving: media organization, data, search, collaboration, processing and repeatability.
AI + automation + connected systems
I build AI and automation systems that connect tools, reduce repetitive work and make messy real-world processes easier to operate.
Software that touches the real world.
I’m most interested in software when it has to interact with people, operations, media, devices or imperfect data — not just live in a demo.
Creator / UGC systems
Researching creator voice, content and style, then generating scripts that preserve the creator’s identity instead of flattening it.
Real-world calling workflows
AI voice systems that call businesses, verify availability or rates, capture answers and turn conversations into structured data.
Extraction + normalization
Turning medical and legal documents into structured, validated data for downstream case workflows.
Human-in-the-loop pipelines
Topic selection, approval, AI imagery, captions, automated editing and publishing workflows for repeatable content production.
The house is another computer.
Home Assistant, Zigbee, IR/RF, networking, ESP32, Docker and self-hosted services are where the same curiosity becomes physical.
Smart home
- Home Assistant — automations, dashboards, scenes and local control
- Zigbee + Wi-Fi + IR/RF — making incompatible devices cooperate
- Media + lighting — TVs, projectors, receivers, lighting groups and custom controls
Homelab
- Ubuntu + Docker — self-hosted services and infrastructure
- n8n + agents — automation and action-taking AI workflows
- Networking + hardware — logs, troubleshooting, radios and experiments
Film. Software.
Everything between.
